Not necessarily! Because our candles are made with a coconut-soy wax blend, you may notice that the melt pool doesn't reach the very edge of the jar during the first few burns. This is completely normal and doesn't mean your candle is tunneling.

As the candle burns down, the melt pool will naturally expand and catch up. Simply allow your candle to burn for a few hours at a time and enjoy the process!

Burn time varies depending on the size of the candle and how it is burned. Our approximate burn times are:

• 13 oz candles: 70–80 hours
• 8 oz candles: 50–55 hours (when available)
• 4 oz gold tins: 20–30 hours

Burn times are estimates and can vary based on burn habits, wick trimming, and other factors.

Trimming your wick before each burn helps maintain a steady flame, reduce soot, and prevent the flame from becoming too large. We recommend trimming the wick to about ¼ inch before each use.

Keeping each burn to 4 hours or less helps your candle burn safely and evenly while preventing the jar and wax from becoming excessively hot.

Once your candle has been burning for 4 hours, extinguish the flame, allow the wax and jar to cool completely, and trim the wick before your next burn.

Proper wick trimming and burn times will help you get the best performance and longest life from your candle.

A little wax remaining along the edges of the jar is completely normal, especially during the first few burns. Our coconut-soy wax blend is designed to melt gradually, and the melt pool can naturally expand as the candle burns down.

This is not necessarily tunneling. Tunneling occurs when the candle consistently burns straight down the center, leaving a significant amount of un-melted wax around the sides throughout its life.
